Introduction

LUMS aims to invest in Pakistan's future by producing future leaders through the National Outreach Programme (NOP). NOP aims to end educational inequity by providing gifted children with quality education and fostering a diverse group of leaders dedicated to Pakistan's prosperity.

Students from all around the nation, representing a variety of backgrounds, nationalities, and ideologies, are inducted into NOP.

What is the National Outreach Program (NOP)? 

The LUMS National Outreach Programme, launched in 2001. 

The motto of National Outreach Program (NOP) is to promote cultural diversity and world-class education to talented and deserving students with extraordinary Matriculation and Intermediate (FA/FSc) results. 

The program inducts these students into LUMS undergraduate programs, providing full financial assistance to those who meet eligibility requirements.

LUMS NOP Eligibility Criteria 

Here are basic eligibility criteria to avail LUMS NOP Scholarship.

1. Students having at least 80% marks in Matric or equivalent in O-Levels are eligible for LUMS National Outreach Program (NOP). 
2. Students shortlisted for the NOP Summer Coaching Session are invited to participate in exercises and tests, which are then registered for a fully funded entrance test. Those who qualify on merit are offered full scholarship admission.
3. All applicants, whether directly or through the NOP program, are evaluated based on the same admission criteria. 
4. A review committee ensures transparency in awarding scholarships and conducting annual reviews during a student's study tenure. This process ensures full scholarship admission for all eligible applicants.

NOP LUMS Admission Test

Following their selection for further consideration based on their performance during the Summer Coaching Session, candidates need to register for the entrance exam. Online application forms are available for undergraduate programs. Every year, the acceptance status is announced by the end of June or early July. Merit-based candidates are awarded admission to LUMS and are also qualified for the National Outreach Programme (NOP) scholarship once their financial need is evaluated.

NOP LUMS 2024 Registration & Online Application Process 

• The NOP team travels throughout Pakistan's cities, towns, and villages to speak at schools and colleges about the LUMS National Outreach Programme.
• Students apply to LUMS for the NOP Summer Coaching Session, and those who make the shortlist are asked to spend the summer on campus to get a taste of LUMS university life.
• Students who are interested in the NOP scholarship can apply for admission to LUMS along with other regular students.
• LUMS will take the test from the eligible candidates.
• Students will be offered a fully-funded scholarship in the LUMS undergraduate programs based on the financial need assessment of the students. 

Students pass the requirements for grades and financial necessity, and they can apply from anywhere in Pakistan. There are no designated seats or quotas for students based on extracurricular activity, ethnicity, or geography.

Step 1 – Application Process

Candidates who are studying in the first year of intermediate and A-Levels are eligible. You can fill out your online coaching application at nopscs.lums.edu.pk.

Step 2 – Summer Coaching Session

For the preparation of the University's Admission Test, Shortlisted candidates will attend a two-week summer coaching session at LUMS.

Step 3 – Admission Test Registration Fee

LUMS will pay for the one-time admission test registration fee for candidates who complete the summer coaching session and meet all academic and scholarship requirements. 

Step 4 - LUMS Admission Form
